Blog-Backlog_Day Seven_B

The ICA : Blomberg.

So the Contemporary Art center is funded by Bloomberg, which is interesting considering, we had discussed earlier Cadbury's influence on London's National Gallery. (more on that when talking about the National Gallery) The gallery was in a building which was very poorly designed, as well as had some spaces closed off, making a very small space surprisngly difficult to navigate. The the inteiror had a strange art deco floor which, was distracting.

The work was, average, as far as contemporary art goes. It wasn't particularly thrilling, a fair amount of video, found objects, and drawings.

There was a bookstore in front of the galleries, which, in and of itself was terribly distracting for me. I bought my first, non-art or art theory books in, probably two years. I don't know why but it seemed appropriate.
